Creativity and Excitement Stoked

Miss L and I officially exchanged Christmas gifts today... and she tossed birthday in on top, so I made out like a crazy bandit.

She not only found me the absolute sweetest cards... but she managed to shop perfectly for me. In a way that I want to say no one ever has.

She bought me something I have been ogling for a long time online, but haven't ever had the nerve to buy for myself. I rarely justify big purchases... anyway, I'm so super excited about this... I've been framing shots in my head all night.

I know as of yet, y'all have no idea what I'm talking about. Miss L bought me a Fujifilm Instax camera... it's the Fujifilm repackaging/remodeling of the old Polaroid instant camera that my mom had when I was a kid.

My brother and I used to get in trouble for wasting her film... ah... I can't wait to take pictures with this.

My first picture was, fittingly, of Marx. He was such a good model.

I've always admired my friend J's use of Polaroids and instant shots in her blog. I'm very very excited to have the opportunity to capture things... the simple beautiful things... on my new camera.

Miss L said that she fully expected my walls to be covered in Instax pictures the next time she comes over. A very distinct possibility.

I've been revisiting the Polaroid fan sites and dreaming about hiking and taking the camera with me and capturing perfect shots.

I have no idea how she got this right, but she did. And, boy am I ever super excited!
